Good to know

Film or digital? Film cameras need a roll of 35mm film (widely available) and developing; retro digital cameras need a battery, charger and memory card, and our listings say which are included. Delivery: we dispatch Monday to Saturday with a 12 noon cut-off, by Royal Mail Tracked 48 for free or Special Delivery as a paid option, so a last-minute birthday is usually fine. A few things to know before you buy

What does “tested” mean for a vintage camera?

Testing varies by item. Read the individual description for the checks carried out and any known faults. A working shutter or flash does not by itself mean the camera has been tested with film. Condition & testing guide.

Are batteries, chargers and other accessories included?

Check the individual listing and photographs. Do not assume batteries, a charger, film or a memory card are included unless explicitly stated. If anything is unclear, ask before ordering.

How can I check that the camera or lens suits me?

Confirm the film or memory-card format, battery requirements and lens mount. For a lens, include your camera model when asking about compatibility. Ask about this item.

Where can I check delivery and returns?

Delivery charges and available services are shown at checkout. Read the current policies before ordering: Shipping policy · Returns policy.
