Canon IXUS Cameras

Canon IXUS compacts, from the original stainless-steel APS film IXUS of 1996 to the slim IXUS digital range (known as ELPH and Digital IXUS in some markets). The digital models from around 2005–2012 are popular again for their CCD image quality, metal bodies and pocketable size.

Buying a Canon IXUS today

Digital IXUS models use rechargeable NB-series batteries and SD cards (older ones need cards of 2GB or less; see our memory cards). Film-era APS IXUS cameras are display and collector's pieces, as APS film is no longer manufactured. Each listing says exactly what is included and whether a charger or card is supplied.

Every camera is tested and photographed by us, with free tracked UK delivery and 30-day returns. See our condition grading guide.

A few things to know before you buy

What does “tested” mean for a vintage camera?

Testing varies by item. Read the individual description for the checks carried out and any known faults. A working shutter or flash does not by itself mean the camera has been tested with film. Condition & testing guide.

Are batteries, chargers and other accessories included?

Check the individual listing and photographs. Do not assume batteries, a charger, film or a memory card are included unless explicitly stated. If anything is unclear, ask before ordering.

How can I check that the camera or lens suits me?

Confirm the film or memory-card format, battery requirements and lens mount. For a lens, include your camera model when asking about compatibility. Ask about this item.

Where can I check delivery and returns?

Delivery charges and available services are shown at checkout. Read the current policies before ordering: Shipping policy · Returns policy.
